Medication and Sickness

Medication

We do not administer medication on premises unless it is a life threatening situation i.e. epi-pen or inhalers. (Epi-pens will only be administered by trained teachers and inhalers by first aiders.)

You MUST inform the Madressa in writing to admin@madressa.net if your child may require this medication to be administered and also bring in a doctor’s letter alongside your consent for us to administer this. Please hand in the letter to the Madressa office.

Allergies: If your child suffers from any food allergies (e.g.: eggs, nuts, dairy products, etc.) YOU MUST inform the Madressa.

Sickness

We would advise that your child should not be in Madressa if:
  • They are clearly unwell
  •  They have vomited or had diarrhoea in the previous 48 hours
  •  They have a temperature
  •  They have needed medication (e.g. Calpol) the night before/morning of  Madressa

In the above cases, it is much better they stay at home and rest. There is no benefit to unwell children coming to Madressa.

Please inform absence of your child via the parent portal, click here to access the link.

If you do send your unwell child Into Madressa we will have no choice but to call you back in to collect your child.
