This is just a quick letter to let you know that the Children’s Islamic Library has recently opened within Stanmore mosque! It is situated in the Annex building – right next to the Madressa office. The library has a huge selection of Islamic books, toys, games, CDs and DVDs, including the high-quality books and games that are being released these days. There are novels for young adults and parenting books also.
Using the library is easy! Simply sign up as a member online on http://www.childrensislamiclibrary.com/, and the rest runs on a self-service system where you go in, borrow your books and fill out a form. Then when returning your books, simply place in the returns box. The library is open 24-7, and is ONLY £5 a year per member.
The library also holds activity days and story times during holidays – once you have signed up to be a member, you will automatically receive e-mails informing you of these events. Details of these can also be found on the website.
