Safeguarding Tip:
Do not be alone with a student in the classroom,always ensure there is always a third person in the class with you.
Child Welfare Co-ordinator:
We would like to welcome Mumtazbai Jivraj as our Child Welfare Co-ordinator. She will work along side the Madressa Admin Team to take a lead in the following areas:
- Behaviour and Classroom Management.
- Safeguarding liaison with the Hujjat Safeguarding committee.
- Working on a wider level within the Madressa to assist in creating a more nurturing and caring environment.
Mumtazbai is now the first point of contact for all issues relating to behaviour and safeguarding queries at Stanmore and Shenazbai Dhalla will be the point of contact in Kenmore.
SIM PHOTOGRAPHER
We will have a professional photographer on site in Stanmore and Kenmore this weekend to assist with the development with our website and publications. Photos are being taken of the "Madressa at work" and therefore some classes will be selected to take pictures off.
The aim is to provide a more natural and human face to the good work which the Madressa routinely undertakes.
Photos will not be published until consent has been received from both staff and students which will be undertaken once pictures have been reviewed. If there are any concerns, please contact admin@madressa.net or speak to a member of staff on Sunday.

Stanmore Jaffery Youth Issues Survey

Salaam'un Alaykum,
We have put together a hugely important survey on various youth issues. We know there are a number of challenges the young people in our community face. To find solutions, we need to collect data and understand these problems.
