Dear Parents/Guardians,

Salaamun Alaykum.

Parents Day will be held this year on Sunday 30th April from 10:00am – 1:00pm.

This year, Parents Day will take place within Northwood School.

We hold Parents Day in order to allow parents to obtain feedback on their children’s progress, as well as to provide parents with the opportunity to discuss with teachers how positive changes can be made both in class and at home in order to enhance their children’s progress for the remainder of the academic year.

Parents/Guardians will also have the opportunity to view their children's earning environment and to see the new opportunities available to our Madressa.

The appointment system allows parents/guardians to choose a suitable 45 minute time slot on Sunday 30th April. Whilst these allocated time slots are not appointments slots, they allow parents/guardians to choose a time of convenience to arrive and meet their child’s respective teachers.

Once a time slot has been chosen, we humbly request all parents/guardians to observe their arrival time and at the same time we appreciate your patience if delays occur.

Parents/guardians will be seen by teachers on a first come, first served basis, and we may need to amend your appointment time to ensure that queues are kept to a minimum within each time slot.

We would request all to ensure that observation of both physical and social Hijab is adhered to throughout the site.

If we have had advance notification of a teacher being absent on the day, you may have fewer teachers to see. In such cases, teachers will contact parents/guardians by phone to discuss the child’s progress

Parents/guardians are requested to bring their children to Parents Day with them, as it can be very useful for the children to hear and discuss the feedback, as well as to chart out goals for the rest of the Madressa year.

We cannot stress enough how important it is for parents/guardians to work together with the Madressa to ensure the successful Islamic upbringing of their children. Attending Parents Day will go a long way in achieving this goal.

However, in the extenuating circumstance where you are unable to attend Parents Day, it is still important that you complete the online form. The deadline to submit the online form for is Wednesday 26th  April, 2017.
