On Sunday 26th March 2017, SIM is holding its Annual Sadaqa Day. Alhamdulilah, we are honoured to be partnering with the following charities this year:
- Al-Mizan
- Bags to Achieve
- Refugee Council
- Sufra NW London
- Salusbury World
A list of the items that each class have been assigned and that students can bring can be found below and is also available here.
Please note that students must bring in the items ON Sunday 26th March, 2017 and drop them off at the assigned drop-off points listed below:
DROP-OFF POINTS
CLASSES 1-4
If your child is in Classes 1-4 please ensure their donations are dropped at their respective entrances where they usually enter the Madressa from, by 10:00AM on Sunday Morning.
CLASSES 5-10
If your child is in Classes 5-10 please ensure their donations are dropped off at their respective girls/boys entrances where they usually enter the Madressa from, by 10:00AM on Sunday morning with the exception of the following items:
- Backpacks/Rucksacks
- Stationary
- Books
These items are to be taken by students to their classrooms. Students will then be guided to take these down to the Sports Hall when their classes go for their Sadaqa Day activities.
Throughout the day there will be activities taking place helping students be more aware and realise the importance that Islam places on the giving of Sadaqa.
We are inviting parents to join us and take part in what promises to be a great day where we all come together to help those less fortunate than ourselves, Insh'Allah.
Mother's Day gifts, Pick 'n' mix and Raffle Prizes including drones and Bluetooth headphones!
Our 10B class have organised some excellent initiatives for this Sunday’s Sadaqa day. There is the opportunity to buy gifts for Mother's Day, various food items and get involved in a raffle to win a drone. Students are encouraged to get involved – all monies raised on the day will go towards charity.
Pick and mix sweets will start from £1 and mothers day gifts will be available at £5, but also all donations are encouraged. Parents, we would also encourage you to get involved and donate.
The students will be set up outside the sports hall and will be fundraising throughout the day – please donate generously!

Please bring in baby wipes and a soft toy. (Charity name – Al-Mizan)
CLASS 2B, 2C, 2D, 4B1, 4B2, 11A, 11B, 12A AND 12B

- Shampoo
- Shower gel
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Face towel
CLASS 3A1, 3A2, 5A1, 5A2, 5B1, 5B2, 8B1 AND 8B2
Please bring in a book of your choice that you think another child will enjoy.

- Long life milk (green or blue not red)
- Tinned Veg
- Tinned Fish
- Pasta sauce
- Diluted juice (Squash)
- Salt
- Small bottles of Oil (max 1 ltr)
- Sugar 1 kg bags
CLASS 7A1, 8A1, 9A1, 9B1 AND 10A
Please bring in a rucksack (which can fit an A4 folder) appropriate for ages 15-18 years
