Eid Mubarak to one and all on the momentous occasion of Eid al-Ghadeer.
As the current term of Brother Sajjad Govani as Principal [2012-2014] draws to an end, the Administration team has engaged with senior members of the Madressa as well as with the Jamaat to seek a direction for the position of Principal for the upcoming term [2015-2017]. This is the usual process through which the Madressa selects its next Principal.
After consideration, the Administration team proposed to extend Sajjad bhai's term as Principal. We are pleased to note that he has accepted the position and following approval from both the Jamaat and senior Madressa staff members we will inshaAllah proceed on this basis.
As this is a general departure from the recent norm for the Madressa, in regards to extending the term of a Principal for a potential further 3 years, we would like to provide an opportunity to all staff members who have any queries to feel free to contact us. Furthermore, if any staff member had intended to join the Administration team in 2015 then we would be happy to discuss potential opportunities.
Separately, we would like to highlight that in the last 2 years alone we have seen significant changes to the Madressa Administration team:
- Shenaz bai Dhalla has joined as the Co-ordinator of all Kenmore operations
- Fatim bai Panjwani has joined as the Ladies Co-ordinator of classes 5-13
- Nishaat bai Bhimani has joined as the Assistant Ladies Co-ordinator for classes 5-13
- Abbas Khaku has joined as the Assistant Secretary
- Aqeel Merchant has joined as Treasurer
