Teachers are to complete Term 2 Report Cards by June 5th, 2016. Further details on how to complete report cards via the Teacher Portal and considerations will be communicated to teachers. However, at this time, it is important that teachers begin observations in class to assist in formulating the context of their reports per child, and to make note of any key information they would like to share with parents via the report cards.
Teachers at Stanmore are urged to follow protocol for registers on a weekly basis.
1. Please collect your First Lesson register from the designated area.
2. All teachers MUST complete the register accurately with the guide provided at the bottom of the registers. Please do not use markers, or pencil. Complete the registers using a blue/black pen. Please DO NOT ask your students to do the registers for you.
3. If you are a last lesson teacher, please personally ensure registers are returned to their designated area after your lesson.
We also last lesson teachers to look around their classrooms a few minutes prior to the end and, along with the students, ensure that there are no food items, or personal belongings left behind.
Thank you in advance for assisting us.

Sadaqa Day: A Positive Impact on Students
Shared by a teacher who says 'Sadaqa Day made a difference!'
I am writing this email to commend the efforts by the Madressa team to organise Sadaqa day. As a teacher at the Madressa it was heart warming to see the compassion and consideration that the children demonstrated for people who were complete strangers - they wanted only the best for them and took great thought in giving encouragement and not hurting the feeling of the person receiving the lunch in their messages to them.
As an Akhlaq teacher I have tried to bring out this compassion and ideology of giving throughout my classes. When the children saw the immense amount of food we were packing they realised the need that exists and how we should appreciate what we have. It was something I cannot only imagine the Ahlulbayt organising but also doing eg. During the time when there was a trade embargo on The Prophet (pbuh) this is exactly the distribution I imagine him and Bibi Khadija executing.
I cannot thank the Madressa team enough for their organisation and the impact they had on the children. For many this was a practical eye opener and demonstration of the role we have in community. I also commend the coordination between ladies and gents - it was a seamlessly organised day which had minimal impact on the normal running of Madressa and I hope to see more initiatives like it in the future.
