Lady Fatemah (A) selflessly fed the needy, the orphan and the captive. In light of her teachings, we are collecting the food items listed on the poster below to give to needy families in North London.
All students of Stanmore (Classes 5-12) are encouraged to contribute in the following two initiatives.
Food Parcels
Contribute by bringing food items listed on the poster below. Invite your friends and family to also contribute to this noble cause.
Please drop these items off in their respective locations:
Ladies - Main Hall near the Ladies Kitchen
Gents - Annexe Building
The Gift of Lunch
Bring in a fruit and biscuit packet and keep it with youuntil your class is called at a designated time to help pack and prepare lunch boxes.
Each class will be allocated a time where students will go to the designated packing area and complete the lunch box with their fruit and biscuit contribution.
Teachers will update students in class for this.
Alternative Site Update
Further to the email message sent out on 29th January, 2016, noting that the Madressa was looking at potential sites as part of its long term planning we would like to update you on our most recent investigation.
A potential site which the Madressa management team had under review and which was also visited by members of the KSIMC Executive Committee is Harefield Academy in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
The Academy, built in the last few years, potentially offered excellent classroom facilities for all parts of SIM as well as numerous other facilities which would have extended the Madressa's offering.
Whilst any eventual move would have been subject to a feasibility study as well as various communications with all stakeholders, the Madressa requested the board of governors to provide an indication of their likelihood to accommodate the Madressa should a decision to move take place.
The board of governors convened early this week and said that for the current year, no such consideration would be made, however the potential for a relationship between Madressa and Harefield Academy remains open in the future.
The Madressa will therefore continue to explore more site options which will allow us to work under one roof and also enhance the service offering of the Madressa.
We humbly request your continued prayers for the success of our institution and should you have any queries or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us on admin@madressa.net.
