Lost Property
As you all must have noticed we have been displaying all lost property outside (coats, lunchboxes etc.) that has been accumulated over the year 2015. Next week is your last chance to claim it before it is sent to charity or disposed of if not suitable to give it away.
Exploring External Facilities Update
As part of the Madressa's responsibility to plan ahead for the growth and demands from the community the Madressa has been exploring various options within the current and external facilities to allow us to meet these demands.
As many people will already know, the Madressa already operates a waiting list that has a growing number of young people whose parents are naturally very keen to provide them with the same opportunity that current students already enjoy.
Therefore the management team of the Madressa in consultation with the KSIMC Executive Committee have been looking at alternative sites and are now actively pursuing a few options. Nothing has been firmed up and as and when it does we shall be consulting and communicating with the parent body to ensure sufficient information is passed on and that all factors as far as possible are considered to meet the needs of our community.
In the meantime it is business as usual and we intend to continue to use the Stanmore and Kenmore sites as usual for the foreseeable future.
Parent Information Event
The S I Madressa is hosting a Parent Information Event on Sunday 7th February, 2016, where the Parent Consultation board will take the opportunity to introduce themselves to parents, and the administration will share new initiatives set out by the Madressa for the Academic Year 2016.
As a parent, your presence will enhance the relationship the Madressa encourages between the Madressa and the home. We look forward to seeing you there.
This year, as the Madressa embarks on a new initiative on teaching Qur'an Appreciation, each child in Classes 5 - 10 is required to bring their own copy of the Qur'an with english translation, each week to the Madressa.
Which Qur'an do we recommend?
The Qur'an Appreciation Department recommends The Qur'an: With a Phrase-by-Phrase English Translation translated by 'Ali Quli Qara'i
MUSLIM MUMS MAGAZINE has been launched and will be sold for a mere £3! It will be sold this Sunday at Madressa at pick-up and drop off at Kenmore and Stanmore.
Please also note: NO cell phones or electronic gadgets are permitted in Madressa.
We have recently updated our food and drink policy to improve the learning atmosphere of our classes. During lesson time students will only be allowed to consume water, no other food or drink will be permitted. The only exception to this rule is for medical reasons, please inform admin in writing if your child needs to eat during lesson time.
Students are allowed to consume food and drink during their break times, before or after madressa.
