Teachers Skills Programme - Great Success
Sign up for March 2017
The TSP is Mandatory for all teachers to undertake in 2017.
People pay to go on such courses yet it’s at our disposal. Every teacher should grab it with both hands!
On February 4th-5th and 11th, the S I Madressa in conjunction with the Council of European Jamaats, hosted their first Teachers Skills Programme.
The Teachers Skills Programme (TSP) is a three day program facilitated by Sayyid Aliraza Naqvi. In the first two days the module covers the necessity of teaching, the roles and responsibilities of a Madressa teacher, how to plan effectively, inclusive learning, assessment strategies, reflectives practices and personal journal.
The third day focuses on micro-teaching where participants get the opportunity to practice the skills they have learnt in the first two days and get valuable feedback from their peers as well as the facilitator.
Alhamdulillah, the first session was a great success!

All teachers and volunteers should have received their online login details and instructions from EduCare.
The completion of these online programmes is mandatory for all teachers in volunteers. The deadline to complete these programmes is Tuesday 7th March, 2017
We have been receiving complaints from Northwood school of weekly issues for their staff members when they return to work on Monday morning. Teachers find that there are batteries missing from their projector remote controls, or that cables have been removed from the back of the computer.
Whilst our teachers on Sunday may utilise the cables to connect to the projectors on Sundays, it is imperative that we leave the classroom EXACTLY the way we find it at the beginning of the day so to not cause inconvenience to teachers of the school.
Please support us in ensuring that we maintain a good relationship with the school and respect their property at all times.
Construction around Northwood School
Teachers are advised that roadworks are taking place around the Northwood School area and temporary traffic lights are in place, so delays are expected. Please plan your journey with extra time.
Lost Property
Since the beginning of the Madressa Year we have received several items of lost property. To view these items click here.
Items will be available each week at reception for Parents to collect either after Drop-Off (post 10:00am) or before Pick-up (before 1:15pm). As we have limited storage on site, at the end of each term, any unclaimed items will be sent to charity where appropriate.
Parents should ensure that all items which their children bring into Madressa including book, jackets, scarfs, gloves, hats, water bottles, pencil cases, lunch bags/boxes etc contain their child's name and class
