Higher Education Challoner’s MUN Conference – 2019
Dear Parents/Guardians
I am writing to invite your son/daughter to participate in a Model United Nations Conference hosted by Dr. Challoner’s Grammar School being held on Sunday 27th January 2019.
Model United Nations (MUN) is a form of debating in which students are required to debate global issues from the point of view of a particular country. It is a society of the students, for the students, run by the students. It allows children of a multitude of ages, abilities and backgrounds to congregate and debate about the issues which are most important to them. These range from solving the Syrian refugee crisis to ending child slavery.
A conference is a MUN competition held by a particular school. For example HABS hold their own conference called HABSMUN.
Cost: £16 per person
Date: 27th of January 2019
Time: 8:45am – 5:00pm
Lunch: Packed Lunch

Transport: Students are to arrange for their own transportation to and from Dr. Challoner’s Grammar School
The dress code for the conference is suits and ties for Boys, and ‘smart’ for girls maintaining hijab.
I hope your child is able to attend this unique experience and will be the development in interest in politics and enhance public speaking skills.
