Higher Education Merchant Taylors MUN Conference – 2019
Dear Parents/Guardians
I am writing to invite your son/daughter to participate in a Model United Nations Conference hosted by Merchant Taylors’ School being held on Sunday 10th of February 2019.
Model United Nations (MUN) is a form of debating in which students are required to debate global issues from the point of view of a particular country. It is a society of the students, for the students, run by the students. It allows children of a multitude of ages, abilities and backgrounds to congregate and debate about the issues which are most important to them. These range from solving the Syrian refugee crisis to ending child slavery.
A conference is a MUN competition held by a particular school. For example HABS hold their own conference called HABSMUN.
Cost: £25 per person
Date: 10th of February
Time: 8:30am – 7:00pm
Lunch: Will be provided
Address: Merchant Taylors’, Sandy Lodge, Moor Park, Northwood HA6 2HT
Transport: Students are to arrange for their own transportation to and from Merchant Taylors’
The dress code for the conference is suits and ties for Boys, and ‘smart’ for girls maintaining hijab.
