University of Cambridge Visit 2019
Salaamun Alaykum
The Higher Education Department of S I Madressa is pleased to invite your child to a brunch and a discussion hosted by Queens college of Cambridge on Sunday 8th December 2019.
The Cambridge trip is to help inspire learners to aim high. Queens’ College is a very well established college that has a good reputation, exploring what the college has to offer can be advantageous especially when it comes to going into higher education.
We will also be visiting the new eco-mosque that has recently opened in Cambridge in the afternoon, and learning about the different environmental aspects, such as how it boasts zero carbon on-site emissions, rainwater harvesting and air source heat pumps
Your child will need to be dropped at Northwood School by 7:45am and pick up from Northwood School at 6pm
Eligibility: Students in Class 11 and Junior Volunteers (i.e. Class 12)
Date: Sunday 8th December, 2019
Time: Leave Northwood School by 8:00am and return by 6:00pm dependant on traffic
Food: Whilst Lunch will be provided, students are welcome to bring snacks and water bottles as it will be a long day

Dress Code: As we are going in December, students should be prepared for Wet and Cold weather and they will be required to do some walking outdoors and so they should dress appropriately wearing sufficient layers and ensure they have suitable smart footwear (i.e no trainers)
Dress Code for girls: Whilst they do not need to wear their abaya on the trip, they are expected to be in full hijab including long, loose tops and full sleeves and should be smart/comfortable clothing.
