Higher Education – Visit to University of Oxford
Dear Parents/Guardians
The Higher Education Department of S I Madressa is pleased to invite your child to participate in an Open Admissions Day at the University of Oxford on Sunday 29 April 2018.
The day is hosted by former HED graduates who are undergraduates at the university studying a variety of subjects and is intended to inspire our students to achieve the best in their studies inspired by their faith to give back to humanity through professional excellence.
In addition to an insight into the life of Muslim undergraduates in Oxford the day will consist of visiting some colleges at the university and admissions insight from one of the university’s admissions officers. Learners will get an insight into the colleges offering across medicine, engineering and law undergraduate studies.
Weather permitting learners will also engage in punting or similar activity.
All costs for the day are sponsored by the University to increase the diversity of their intake. Transportation cost will be covered by the S I Madressa.
We intend to leave Northwood School by 9:00am and be back by 6:00pm.
We will be accompanied by adult helpers at a ratio of 7 learners to an adult and lunch will be provided.
Please complete the consent form. The general consent we have for learners to be photographed will be relied on unless you inform us otherwise.
As we are limited to take 20 students, please register as soon as possible. Individuals will receive confirmation on a first-come first-serve basis.
