Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Drop-Off
‘Left Gate’ past Reception:
Reception – Year 2: Your child must line up outside under the covered area where teachers will then escort them to their classrooms. Generally there are signs for each class and the class teacher will wait for children up until the bell rings at 10am.
Year 4+ Girls: Students can make their way to their classrooms from 9:50-9.55am onwards.
‘Right Gate’ next to the Sports Hall:
Year 3 Boys & Girls: Class 3 boys & girls will use this entrance and teachers will then escort them to their classrooms. Generally there are signs for each class and as noted above, class teachers will wait for children up until the bell rings at 10am before escorting them all up to class.
Year 4+ Boys: Boys can make their way to their classrooms from 9:50-9.55am onwards.
General
- Reception – Year 3 students will be escorted in by 10:00am.
- The school bell will ring at 10:00am after which the side gates will be closed.
- Students arriving after this time will be marked late and need to give a reason for being late before being allowed into class.
- Parents/Guardians are not permitted to wait for their children onsite between 10:00am and 1:15pm.
Pick-Up
Reception – Year 3:
Students will finish at 1:30pm and should be collected from the same place they were dropped. Older siblings will not be allowed to collect children in Reception – Year 3. Parents / Guardians must collect their children.
Year 3 Girls & Boys:
Year 3 girls should be the only girls being picked up from the right-hand side of the building, next to the Sports Hall (where they are dropped off in the morning).
Year 3 Boys will be collected in the same area as the girls (same as drop-off in the morning)
Boys Years 4-5:
Pick up areas for boys in Years 4-5 will be on the right-hand side of the building next to the Sports Hall (where they enter in the morning). Boys in this age group can be collected by a parent or an older sibling and usually they will be taken to the area towards the rear of the playground, near the sports hall where it is less crowded.
Boys Years 6+:
Pick up areas for boys in Years 6+ will be on the right-hand side of the building next to the Sports Hall (where they enter in the morning) and they will be permitted to leave the site on their own accord and so parents should make suitable arrangements with their children on where to meet with them.
Girls Years 4-5:
Pick up areas for girls in Years 4-5 will be on the left-hand side of the building (where they enter in the morning). Girls in this age group can be collected by a parent or an older sibling and usually they will be held in an area under the canopy towards the rear of the Reception – Year 2 classes.
Girls Years 6+:
Pick up areas for girls in Years 6+ will be on the left-hand side of the building (where they enter in the morning) and they will be permitted to leave the site on their own accord and so parents should make suitable arrangements with their children on where to meet with them.
General
- Classes 5-7: Students are to be collected by their parents. An older sibling may also collect them or they can leave the site unaccompanied if a parent has written to the Madressa (admin@madressa.net).
- Classes 8-10: Students may leave the site unaccompanied.
Late Student Pick-up
Reception Classes – Class 4:
If you have not collected your child(ren) by 1.40pm your child will be escorted to the dining area. Parents will then have to go to the reception via the Main Entrance and queue up to collect their child.
Classes 5-7:
Children will be escorted to the dining hall at 1:40pm. Parents will then have to go to the reception via the Main Entrance and queue up to collect their child.
Main Entrance
The main entrance of the school is
- NOT to be used for regular Drop-off and Pick-up.
- to be used for late arrivals, late pick-up.
- to be used if a parent needs to talk to a member of staff.
